VFYH...updates...

I know that there are alot of you that are patiently awaiting the next update for Vegas. I've hit a sort of block with writing the story. The next chapters are in my head, but I can't seem to write them coherently.

The next chapter is partially written; however, I am not happy with the current state that it is in. So, I will wait for some impsiration and motivation to truly do Vegas the justice that it deserves.

Sorry for the delays. Please be patient with me while I work through this.

New Story Title...

So, I am going to enter the story Modern Arrangement into a contest next month. However, I have been rethinking the title.

Right now I am using 'Here Comes My Bride, Bought and Paid For', but I'm still not sure if I am truly feeling this.

I'm in search of the best title for this particular story.

Any suggestions? I'm open for them. LOL :o) LOL

I'm also trying to find someone to read and assist with editing/polishing the story.

Amongst the Ruins

In the year 2220, only about 15% of Earth’s populations have survived the Nuclear Disaster of 2020.

After 200 years of genetic diseases and mutations, devastation, and survival, industry and military capacities have been virtually destructed and social systems have fallen. With the collapse of modern society, the population has regressed into eight clans.

Each clan was once a safe haven from the radiation and the lingering effects that still haunted the once strong steel cities. These clans provided support and assistance to those survivors. However, as the years passed by, many primal desires and behaviors resurfaced. Desiring power and authority over the others, the clans began to enter civil wars with the belief that their ideas were the best approach to rebuilding civilization.

During this current year 2220, the main clans have established themselves and surround their territory with their beliefs. The Alchemy, Magnus, Mehdia, and Aeon Clans have tried to establish peace between each other by putting treaty terms into place. Their goal is to halt the wars and prevent further life loss. The population is already too weak.

These terms have shaken many of the other clans that inhabit Earth, especially the most power hungry clan, Nodus. The realization has spread that if these four strong and different clans can work peaceful, then soon they would establish a union of rule. This would leave the non union clans susceptible to conquer.

Other clans simply worry if the will have a place or simply be eradicated. The Nigredo Clan is where all diseased and mutated humans have been shunned. The Nomadic Clan is a free spirited group of travelers who wander uninhibited territories. With their restless nature, they worry that they will have to conform.

Amidst the ruins of Earth, children are born as the future saviors. Women are worth more than gold in the eyes of most, with their ability to bring life back to the population. However, with this high pedestal come sacrifice, fear, and consequences for those who can bear children.

Shilo Nuri begins her life, born from her mother’s womanly consequence. Follow her journey, sacrifices and battles as she discovers the price that comes with being a woman amongst the ruins.

Lone Star 2010 Writing Contest

Holy crap...my nerves are shot. I just entered LIP into a writers competition (just the first 25 pages). I don't know exactly how well I will do and truly doubt that it will go far, but I am curious about the critique that the judges will provide me about the begining of the story and my writing style.

Here's to hoping that they don't completely trash my writing. *crossing fingers* All I ask for is just some constructive feedback. Ahhh....won't know anything until August.
